RSI/FM Web based Facility Management

Web based software for the management of Space, Staff, Assets and Leases

RSI/FM is a Web Based Computer Aided Facility Management application. Space, Staff, Assets, Leases, Work Orders, Building Systems, and Building Services can be documented and tracked via our online web application. This is the most efficient way for facilities to be supported while facility managers can concentrate on the operational aspects of facilities without maintaining a staff to support a specific software solution to track the real estate and inventory assets. Facility information is also available company wide through password access controlling different levels of information within the online databases. RSI can use your current database to update drawing elements in vector floor plans published on the Internet. For example, if a room is reassigned to another department and a change is made in the corporate database, via a dynamic link, the color in the room changes to the new department color and the drawing legend revises the area allotments for each department.

Key Benefits - RSI/FM

  •  No software to purchase, staff to train or maintain the data for facilities typically required for FM software solutions.
  •  No internal IT requirements to support the online application.
  •  Accessible anywhere from an internet connection. This allows for ease of use and quick access for emergency management responses.
  •  Reduce or eliminate outside consulting fees for the continuous production of current Space Plans and space distribution calculations.
  • Speed up the business process by eliminating traditional paper based drawings.
  • Find information with the search command on Drawings and Reports.
  • Attach electronic documents to e-mail.
  • Send URL address for specific floor plans.
  • Lease space faster by providing current floor plans of vacant spaces.
  • Crop drawings and resize downloaded drawings.
  • Attach notes and mark-ups directly on drawings at specific locations.
  • Encrypt drawings and critical documents with 128-bit encryption.
  • Control growth and space usage by easily implementing departmental chargeback's.

DRAWINGS

Drawings are published in high quality, vector graphic format on a CDROM and on a secure site on the Internet. Each drawing can be zoomed into as close as 1600% without reduction in quality. Printing can be large format or small with excellent print qualities as allowed by your printer. Notes and mark-up comments can be placed on drawings and emailed as attachments. The Free Reader is downloadable from the Internet and is also available on the CDROM of your RSI/FM project. Your Internet browser can open RSI/FM drawings and reports after installation of the Free plug-ins. A grid overlay is useful for placement of scaled symbols -- furniture, staff icons, and additional text. To add information to a drawing, standard drawing Symbols, Icons, Crop, Digital Signature, Security, Help, Text, and other tools and capabilities are available from the tools palette and pull down menus.

DATABASE

RSI can use multiple databases from Oracle and SQL to Access and FileMaker. The database structure and relationships are discussed early in the project development. The database can be changed by each user with security passwords over your intranet or the Internet. Multiple logon are available if desired. Data is imported or linked to RSI/FM for drawing and report manipulations and updates. The only requirement is that the database be in a current application that allows data import and export and is ODBC compliant.

REPORTS

Using drawing calculated room sizes and locations, RSI has standard report formats and guidelines for new and custom reports. Each report is word searchable and can sub-total and total areas, quantities, sorted by Campus, Building, Floor, Department and Room or as desired by our Clients. Reports can be automated to be published on the Internet each month, day, hour, or every 15 minutes.
